Rutherford Stage is Theater for Everyone

Founded in 1971 as The Rutherford County Arts Council, Rutherford Stage is dedicated to enriching our community through high-quality live theatrical performances. Rutherford Stage is focused on developing a safe, all-inclusive, multi-generational environment providing opportunities for everyone, both on and off stage, to explore their unique talents. Over its 55-year history, many generations have had the opportunity to participate in or attend countless productions. Two large-scale musicals are produced each year featuring local actors of all ages, along with several other plays, and a summer camp for students. We believe that theater is for everyone!

Our performances are held at the Foundation Performing Arts Center on the campus of Isothermal Community College. This partnership allows us to serve a much larger group of actors than in the past, as well as brought in a larger audience. 

Rutherford Stage continues to fulfill the vision of our founders, Matthew and Diane McEnnerney, while looking forward to our exciting future!
